The Church's Great Omission
Throughout history, when man has embraced a totalitarian system devised by other men, what they were really looking for was the system of the Kingdom government of our God that Jesus Himself delivered to the earth. Sadly, they did not know that the Kingdom of God even existed and was what they were looking for. And the church did not tell them.
God's Solution
For weeks we have been discussing absolutes, relativisms, idolatries, and man's failed attempts to produce an all-encompassing system for human flourishing. Time and again, men have tried to create grand systems for society that only ended in hardship, oppression, enslavement, and loss of life. What is God's solution?
The Systems of Man
Together we have been exploring the ideas of absolutes, relativisms, totalitarian systems, etc. Let's take a closer look at the ineffectiveness of man's attempts to provide all-encompassing systems for humanity to live under.
Half-gods
Religion, government, and all the spheres of culture in our world are full of relativisms that are presented as absolutes. In reality, most of their doctrines and their positions are only relativisms disguised as absolutes. They are only relativisms manufactured by man for man, primarily to control other men. As Dr. E. Stanley Jones said, “they are half-gods.”
Absolutes
Our King, the unchanging Person of Jesus Christ and His unchanging Word, and the unshakeable Kingdom realm of our God are the absolutes that humanity is provided for their use in addressing and in evaluating all of the relativisms on the earth.
Relativisms
Relativisms are beliefs that may be accurate, but their greater value is in their relationship to another reality that is absolute and that does not change. There are many relativisms. Most of the doctrines of organized religion are relative in their relationship and their impact to the Kingdom of God, which is absolute.
You Can't Take it With You
As the old saying goes, "You can't take it with you." If we are living in the Kingdom realm, our focus will never be to accumulate the things that we can't take with us into eternity (though we will likely have some of those things, they just won't be the focus of our pursuits). Instead we will seek above all else eternal things.
Earthly Versus Eternal
Earthly choices are asset-based and time driven. Kingdom choices are purpose-based and eternity-driven.
Life at the Nexus
Our lives are lived at the nexus, the intersections where the two kingdoms come together, and we must choose continually and constantly. As long as we are in time and on this planet our having to choose will never end. Our lives are directed by our choices of action.

Ecclesia of the Firstborn
We are members of the ecclesia of the Firstborn. The ecclesia was a political assembly of citizens to oversee, to advise or to direct, and to have governmental influence in Greece and in Rome. As citizens we are members of the governing body of Heaven’s Zion realm.
