Absolute & Unchanging
Our present life experience is the product and the result of our choices. Good and correct choices are important -- very important.
Let’s see what the Holy Spirit God said to us through Paul’s letter to the Romans:
"12 And so, dear brothers and sisters, [a] I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. [b] 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:1-2, New Living Translation
"1-2 Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes." Romans 12:1-2, The Passion Translation
"1 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]." Romans 12:1-2, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
We must bring our thoughts – our imaginations – into agreement with what our God says in His Word.
"5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV
"5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)" 2 Corinthians 10:5 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
To experience and to engage the Kingdom Realm, we must program and reprogram our mind to think like our King thinks. Our God thinks, acts, and speaks in eternity. This can be a challenge. Most do not know the language of eternity. Often what we hear is not accurate, and we must examine every thought and ensure that what we are hearing agrees with the absolute, unchanging Word of our God.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of our God is forever. God’s Word does not change. It is not situational. It does not change with different situations, circumstances, and relationships. God’s Word is absolute and unchanging.
