KSAM: The Kingdom Paradigm of Giving, Part Eight

If receiving is important, then planned giving is even more important.

Giving is the interactive dynamic of kingdom design that determines, regulates, and establishes our receiving. The if/then principle of receiving.

So what is your giving plan? Do you have a plan? What does your plan address? Is it written out? Do you read it consistently and regularly?

I have followed a process for many years where I begin annually at Thanksgiving and my goal is to have completed by January third. I ask God for directions for our Family in every area of our lives for the next year and beyond.

Giving is an integral part of this process. I follow Dr. David Cho’s directive of being very specific and very detailed in my ask. This outline is usually forty plus pages typed out. I write this and read it regularly to program my mind, my thoughts, and my vision of God’s plan for me and for my Family.

This is the method that I use personally, and it is a vital and necessary tradition. This sets me up to begin my year with a clear vision of what's ahead and the giving priorities the Lord has assigned to me and my Family. We know that giving precedes receiving, so we are positioning ourselves to receive all that is necessary to fulfill the giving plan.

My hope is that you too will make a giving plan for yourself and your family. You don't have to wait until the end of the year or the beginning of a new one -- spend time with your Creator and ask Him to show you how you are to give, to whom you are to give, and how much you are to give. Create a plan and stick to it, and watch as you are blessed as you participate in this Kingdom Paradigm.

Proverbs 16:3, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition:

"Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed."

Proverbs 16:3, New Living Translation:

"Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed."

Proverbs 16:3, The Message:

"Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place."

Proverbs 16:3 TPT:

"Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed."
