Debt and the Kingdom
In our society we have become accustomed to instant gratification. Let me have it now! The entire banking system is based on getting what we want and what we cannot pay for now.
In reality, our banking system is out of control. When scripture says the borrower is servant to the lender, our present system understands that and goes after that relationship. The national debt of the United States is approaching thirty-two (32) trillion dollars and increasing daily. We are on a course that is not sustainable. We spend more than we earn. That is never a formula for success.
Credit card debt in the United States alone is over nine hundred eighty-six (986) billion dollars. That is unbelievable. That is almost one trillion dollars in credit card debt alone.
If we are to make His Kingdom our priority and our first consideration, debt cannot be a part of that equation. All debt is based in time and what we acquire through debt will not transcend time because it is not eternal. Read that again.
We become servants for things that expire and things that are temporary. Those things are not to be our first consideration. If we are to be really successful in life and forever, we must operate and conduct our lives in agreement with and in union with His system, the Kingdom System. No other way will bring us success.
