Eternal Foundation

Let's take a look at this passage from John chapter 8:

12 Then Jesus said, “I am  light to the world, and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never  walk  in darkness.”

13 The Pharisees were immediately offended and said, “You’re just boasting about yourself! Since we only have your word on this, it makes your testimony invalid!”

14 Jesus responded, “Just because I am the one making these claims doesn’t mean they’re invalid. For I absolutely know who I am, where I’ve come from, and where I’m going. But you Pharisees have no idea about what I’m saying. 15 For you’ve set yourselves up as judges of others based on outward appearances, but I certainly never judge others in that way. 16 For I discern the truth. And I am not alone in my judgments, for my Father and I have the same understanding in all things, and he has sent me to you.

As Jesus did not begin here and He knew it, we did not begin here and we must know that and we must engage and be fully aware of that impact operationally on our daily lives. And just as Jesus declared that He would not end here in the earth realm, we must know and we must declare that we will not end here. We began with our Creator and our Designer in the before-here component of our eternity in “eternity without time – our before here," and we will return to be with Him in our eternity without time in our forever hereafter.

Everything that Jesus said, and in all that He did when He was on the earth, everything was and is confirmed by His Word, and by the witness of the Holy Spirit God. Everything establishes the fact and the reality that we are to make eternity and our eternalness our priority. Operationally our first consideration and the foundation that we use to build our lives in time upon must be eternity and our eternalness. Our eternalness is to be the platform from which we address everything in our lives.
