Eternity and the Church, Part Two
We are eternal beings who are designed and created to operate and to have our being in eternity and in our eternalness. Eternality is to be primary in our lives. So much of what we call "church" today is based in time and produces time-based results.
God, give us pastors and leaders who understand that our purpose is based in eternity. God, give us leaders who lead us deeper into our eternal relationship with our eternal God through His eternal Kingdom!
While we are on the earth, there is an amazing synergy between the things in our world and in our life that are eternal. It is very important for us to develop and to pursue eternality and flowing in things that are eternal and transcend time.
Our Creator God, His Word, His Kingdom, and all of Humanity relate through our eternity and through our eternalness. This is a powerful connection we must go after with all of our might and enjoy.
Jesus told Nicodemus that the things in our lives that are of the earth/world/time give birth to things that are of the world; but things of the Spirit gives birth to things that are of our eternal spirit, and are transcendent in nature. Church is not to be a production, but church is to help us in the process of developing our eternal relationship with our eternal God.
