KSAM: Relativisms

What are relativisms?

Relativisms are beliefs that may be accurate, but their greater value is in their relationship to another reality that is absolute and that does not change.

There are many relativisms. Most of the doctrines of organized religion are relative in their relationship and their impact to the Kingdom of God, which is absolute.

Sadly, religion has failed to teach and to display the Kingdom, and have chosen to base their understandings of who God is and how we relate to Him on doctrines that are at best relativisms only.

We must decide their accuracy and their value arbitrarily. We must have an absolute and unshakeable standard for our reference to determine their value in relationship to the absolutes that we are provided.

Next week we will discuss the all-important antithesis to this idea, and the anchor of reality: absolutes.
