The Zion Realm

In Hebrews 12 in the Passion translation, where our time journey experience on the earth is being described, it says:

“22 By contrast, we have already come near to God in a totally different realm, the Zion-realm.”

What is Zion’s realm? The word “Zion” appears in scriptures over one hundred and fifty times. The word essentially means fortification and has the idea of being raised up as a monument to our God.

Zion also means mountains, and is another term for governments or nations. It is also described as the spiritual realm where our God’s promises are fulfilled. Our permanent, eternal citizenship is described as a part of this different realm. We are “legally registered Citizens” of His Kingdom realm, or Zion. We have all the rights, the privileges, and the responsibilities of citizenship. We cannot ignore this reality.

How will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? We must act and we must engage Heaven’s Zion realm in every situation, in each of our circumstances, and in all our relationships. Come Kingdom Come.
