Paradigm Shift
The only thing in scripture I can find where we are told to seek first, and to go after before anything else is the Kingdom -- His system, His plan, and His way of doing and of being right. This is in the message of Christ to humanity in the sermon on the mount. The Kingdom is eternal and if it is not about eternity, it is not about His Kingdom and should not be our first consideration. Please read that again.
Recognition of this reality requires a paradigm shift and a new and different worldview for humanity. We have not understood the importance of our operating from the perspective of eternity and from the vantage of our eternalness.
Things that are not seen with our natural eyes, or are not heard with our natural ears, seem so much less important than the things we can physically see and what we can audibly hear. The opposite is actually true.
Jesus was very emphatic about the unseen world and its importance. We are told that our difficulties and challenges are the substance or the matter/material that produces an eternal weight of glory for us if we are able to realize that eternity is to be our perspective.
We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison, because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal. - 2 Corinthians 4:17-18, TPT
